The United States Embassy announced the opening of registration for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs 2024 (AWE), which is an initiative led by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).

AWE “aims to empower women by strengthening their business knowledge, building collective work networks and facilitating access that they need to consolidate their ventures,” reads the call’s website.
In Colombia, the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs 2024 will be implemented by Innpactia. The maximum date to apply is next December 8, 2023.
Who can apply?
According to the Innpactia website, Colombian women and migrants from Venezuela who reside in Colombia may apply. that have an active and operating business.
The types of companies that can apply are the following: social company, private company or entity, individual (natural person), collective without legal/legal registration, social entrepreneurship.
Women will have access to the DreamBuilder platform, which is “a user-friendly, user-friendly online course developed by Arizona State University’s (ASU) Thunderbird School of Global Management and the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation.”

– Women with access to a computer, basic computer skills and an Internet connection
– Women with an entrepreneurial spirit, willingness and availability to receive training.
– Women interested in improving and growing their existing business.
– Belong to a vulnerable population or live in limited socioeconomic conditions.
– Women of legal age
– Colombian women or migrants from Venezuela who reside in Colombia
– The woman who applies to the call must have an active and operating business.
– Copy of Citizenship Card or Immigration Card | Receipt that demonstrates socioeconomic status.
