On the night of This Friday, November 18, the artist performed at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

However, shortly before the singer went on stage, it was learned that one of the attendees died. This is Ana Benevides, a 23-year-old girl who reportedly suffered a heart attack while inside the stadium.
Media outlets indicated that Benevides arrived at the concert around 11:00 at night; However, at the beginning of the event he fainted, apparently due to the high temperatures in the venue.

Then, the paramedics tried unsuccessfully to revive the young woman, from the Brazilian town of Sonora in Mato Grosso do Sul, who was also a psychology student.

After hearing the news, Taylor Swift sent a message on her Instagram account, regretting what happened: “I can’t believe I’m writing this, but it is with a heavy heart that I must say that we lost a fan before the show. I can’t tell you how devastated I am about that. I have very little information except for the fact that she was incredibly beautiful and very young” can be read in a handwritten note.
“I don’t think I can talk about this on stage because I feel overcome with grief, even when I try to talk about it. I want to tell you that I am deeply sorry for this loss and my broken heart goes out to your family and friends. “This was the last thing I thought would happen when we decided to bring the tour to Brazil,” added the singer-songwriter.

On social networks, users and attendees complained about the high temperatures inside the stadium, reaching 60 degrees Celsius. This would have caused fainting among the fans, who also asked the staff for water since the organizers had prohibited bringing the liquid into the concert.

In one of the videos shared on the social network X, you can see that Taylor Swift herself has to stop her presentation to ask the staff for water and pass it to one of the attendees.
“Taylor Swift had to intervene in person to give water to fans in Brazil, due to the excessive heat wave. They did not let water enter the stadium and closed the air; In addition, a fan died,” wrote an Internet user, who also shared a video of the moment.
Others commented that there were not good logistics and that staff members would not be providing water to attendees.
For now, The organizers of the concert in Brazil have not commented.
